Here are some answers to some Frequently Asked Questions you may have:

1. Why aren’t you doing print-on-demand? It’s much cheaper and easier after all… 

Yes, I know. But, I’m not ready yet. Also, I achieve much brighter and more vibrant results printing them myself by hand here in my home studio. You’ll quickly see why they sell like hotcakes in person. And, I am slowly looking into some of those options and services, and will offer them if I find one that meets my exacting standards some day. 2. The last batch of cards I got with the same image as the first batch I ordered are ever so slightly different – why is that?

The key is in the description – they are hand-made, in batches. Kind of like cookies or cupcakes. While I try not to alter or change any settings between batches, again, these are hand-made in tiny batches by me and my trusty inkjet printer. And both of us may operate ever so slightly differently from one day to the next. Also, my monitor may change its brightness level over time or my color management may shift ever so slightly over time, so… this can happen.

Also, some of the images did not scale well in the cropped version I may use for the smallest cards. So I may have used a slightly different crop. (One example: Dahlia Trio image B1 – I cropped it to look better on the smallest card size, but it doesn’t print well cropped on medium and large.)

Please enjoy the fact that these are 100% HAND-MADE by a bonafide home-grown USA artist and not some faceless machine. I infuse love in every batch as well. Enjoy.

3. Why so expensive? Can you charge less please?

See the answers to questions 1 and 2 above. I’m not a machine. And I don’t wish to compete with one. I know you can get things much more cheaply made from others elsewhere. That’s not my path. I may go down that route someday, but not today. I cannot and am not competing with cheaper imported products, nor print on demand with my handmade lines A and B. (I *may* someday with Line C – P.O.D., stay tuned.) Again, these sell like hot cakes in person so… you get to buy them from the comfort of your home in your pajamas this way. I deserve to make a decent living. And they’re worth it.

4. Where can I find you selling in person? Will you be at any art shows?

Great question. Not any time soon. But… I do hope to start selling “outside” again at some point. I used to sell at the Last Thursday fair on NE Alberta Street in Portland, Oregon and later inside the store “Local Discoveries” also on Alberta before I fell apart from my EDS onset “storm” in 2012. But it’s very physically taxing for me. And the physical demands of setting up for the regular summer street fairs we have are also too taxing and expensive for me. (I can’t schlep much anymore besides my personal body.) But, keep an eye on my social media in case that ever changes. (Links at bottom.)

5. Why do you have an “s” on the end of your email and some of your social media handles? Aren’t you “photograbee” as in your domain name?

Because someone else beat me to the handle “photograbee” on those platforms! (And yes, some of them are clealy inactive now, but there’s not much I can do about that. If that’s you, and you feel so inclined, I’d love to have the handle, thanks.) But, I scored the web domain as you can see. Yes, it’s a tad confusing even for me. But, here we are. Just follow the links below to find me on all the social media platforms where I’m active. And if it’s hard to remember those handles to share with people, just share this website, and they can follow the linked icons to my socials below too.

6. Are these really all your original images?

Yup! They all are. And, as close to originally captured as possible. I seriously work hard to get the image right “in camera” as much as possible for two reasons: one, I’m lazy and hate post-processing, and two, I don’t want to use a lot of tools to get a good image. So I only use Lightroom to process and catalog them yet.
I do not use any AI to generate my images. They are 100% made from my original images, and pretty darn close to in camera. In fact, most of the images I share on socials that do not have text on them are raw, unprocessed or very minimally from my phone camera. I do not need or want to use AI to generate my images. I am the artist, and wish to remain so. I hope you will honor my skill accordingly thanks.
